QUICK ANNOUNCEMENT! This wiki contains Spoilers about The Most Powerful God in the World. Please Read Carefully.
Tang Yu-Sin (당유신), the Divine Doctor (신의 — 神醫), One of the Nine Stars, and the Supreme Patriarch of the Sichuan's Tang Clan, one of the Five Great Clans.
The now elderly Divine Doctor — Tang Yu-Sin also inherited this bloodline of the Sichuan Tang Clan. Some said that if the young Tang Yushin devoted himself solely to martial arts, he would become the greatest in the world or even something beyond that. However, Tang Yushin immediately shook his head without a hint of hesitation. He could not give up medicine to focus solely on martial arts. There was a proverb about being greedy and losing both hares, but that applied only to ordinary people.
For Tang Yushin, his innate talent was more than sufficient to excel in both martial arts and medicine. Although he did not become the greatest in the world, he became strong enough to be counted among the top ten in the vast world. His achievements in medicine even surpassed his martial arts skills, and there was no one who could rival him. The fact that he was known as the Divine Doctor despite being a martial artist was largely due to this.[1]
In the martial world, the reputation of the Sichuan Tang family was high, but in reality, they were not very active externally. They resembled reclusive hermits more than a prestigious noble family. In fact, they mostly operated as physicians rather than warriors in their daily lives. This attitude was the same for Tang Yushin, the Divine Doctor. Although he made remarkable contributions in the past Great War between the Righteous and Demonic factions, earning the title of Nine Stars, he left behind the honor and praise and returned to Sichuan. And just like the generations before him, in front of the sick, he became a doctor, and when alone, he became a warrior.
At least within Sichuan, the standing of the Sichuan Tang family surpassed that of the imperial palace, and the Divine Doctor was like an emperor. After all, it was more tangible to have someone next to you saving lives with medical skills than to have someone far away collecting taxes and doing meaningless things. Of course, it wasn't an easy life. Some sacrifices were required. But most members of the Sichuan Tang family, including Tang Yushin, were satisfied with their current lives. They were not living this life because someone forced them to.[2]
