Namgoong Heon (남궁헌), a Member of the Namgoong Clan. Someone once said that happiness looks similar for everyone, but misfortune comes in various forms. Moreover, the thing called “misfortune” has a knack for visiting suddenly, even when it's not your fault. This was also true for Namgoong Heon and his sister.

Divine Power[]

Suddenly orphaned and left to wander the world as beggars after their parents' untimely departure, the siblings, one day, made a startling discovery. The catalyst for this revelation was a beggar who intended to resort to violence simply because they begged in his territory. Namgoong Yeon, shielding his younger sibling with her entire body, unknowingly unleashed a mysterious power at the brink of death.

An unknown energy emanating from the child's tiny hand engulfed the beggar's face in flames. In the midst of this, Namgoong-yeon managed to escape with her sibling. As such incidents repeated, Namgoong-yeon learned to emit the mysterious power somewhat at will. Not long after, Namgoong Heon also learned to manifest a similar power. However, his abilities were so feeble that they were only effective against commoners. Practitioners of martial arts remained largely unaffected. During a particularly perilous encounter, the excessive use of this peculiar power seemed to push them to their limits.

It was a divine power similar to what Song Yooncheon and Wol emanated, despite the significant gap. It distinctly differed from the inner energy manifested by martial artists. If one were to explain, it could be said that the Taoist's aura and the martial artist's inner energy were intricately intertwined.
