Myriad Origins Old Ancestor or the Omniscient Old Ancestor (만박노조 — 萬博老祖), one of the Extremely Old & Ancient Monstrous Deities.

Story

In the past, Song Yoon-Cheon was regarded as an Omniscient & Omnipotent God in the Heavenly Mountains, but that was all wrong. He was neither Omniscient & Omnipotent nor a God. Therefore, the existence of the Demon King sealed at the end of the Heavenly Demon Cave was a significant headache for Song Yuncheon, who had intended to leave the Heavenly Mountains at that time. Song Yuncheon inquired about the Demon that called itself the Demon King and gathered information about it.

• "The Demon Realm (마계 — 魔界)? So, it's another world?" —Song Yoon-Cheon
• "Yes. Ahem, by the way, I'm a bit thirsty…." —Myriad Origins Old Ancestor

The old man, sitting across from Song Yuncheon in the noisy tavern, coughed and looked towards the kitchen.

• "Help yourself. As much as you like."

Song Yuncheon treated his guest with utmost hospitality. It was only natural, as he had managed to bring someone who traveled the world to this remote place with great difficulty.

• "Ha ha, you truly deserve to be called Heavenly Demon. Bring all the wine here!"

With that, the guest, pleased with the good treatment, enthusiastically urged the server. Soon, the table was filled with a variety of delicacies, and fine wine filled their cups. Neither of them touched their chopsticks. Song Yuncheon did so because he was not in a hurry to eat, while his guest was too busy savoring the long-awaited feast to pick up his chopsticks, reaching out everywhere. Soon, the guest's face turned red, and his eyes began to blur.

Song Yuncheon wanted to continue the conversation immediately, but he waited patiently. It was not because the person in front of him, often called the Myriad Origins Old Ancestor, was stronger than him. It was because the knowledge in his head was what he needed.

• "You mentioned that there is another world called the Demon Realm." —Song Yoon-Cheon

"People often talk about ascension to a paradise when they mention enlightenment, as if going to an Immortal Realm (선계). Just as there is a world where immortals gather, there is also a world where demons gather." —Myriad Origins Old Ancestor

• "Is that the world you referred to as the Demon Realm?" —Song Yoon-Cheon

"That's right. Unfortunately, I couldn't delve any deeper. That's all that's known, and no one knows more about it." —Myriad Origins Old Ancestor

Song Yuncheon stared intently at Myriad Origins Old Ancestor, but there were no signs of lying or trying to hide something. However, the reason for his painstaking search for Myriad Origins Old Ancestor did not end there.

• "Is there no way to eliminate that existence? Or at least send it back to the world it came from?"

Song Yuncheon tried to help those who followed him in the Heavenly Mountains and deal with the demon sealed in Heavenly Demon Cave, but all his efforts ended in failure.

&"If there were the power of an existence of equal rank, it would be sufficient, wouldn't it?"

The demon in Heavenly Demon Cave introduced itself as the Demon King. Its power was so great that Song Yuncheon couldn't properly gauge it, but it was clear that it surpassed him. No matter what he tried, he couldn't kill or seal the demon.

• "Then are you saying we should bring an Ascended Dragon here?"

Song Yuncheon knew that there were a few beings more powerful than him, but they were all bound by fate and couldn't leave their places. So he mentioned the closest, a Dragon, but it was merely a complaint because no viable solution came to his mind.

• However, Myriad Origins Old Ancestor clapped his hands at his words.

• "I guess there was a way like that!" —Myriad Origins Old Ancestor

• Are you saying there is a way to force an Ascended Dragon to stay on the earth?" —Song Yuncheon

That meant the Dragon would fail to ascend and revert to being an Imoogi. And if it was something an Imoogi could handle, Song Yuncheon could manage it too, so it was of no use.

• "That's not it. It's a bit different, but there's the Reverse Scale (역린 — 逆鱗)." —Myriad Origins Old Ancestor

Reverse Scale refers to the single reverse scale located under the dragon's neck. Even among people who have never seen a dragon and may never see one in their lifetime, the expression ‘touched the reverse scale’ exists.

• "If you actually touch the reverse scale, you will incur the dragon's wrath and be killed."

In other words, Myriad Origins Old Ancestor meant to use the dragon's reverse scale to eliminate the Demon King. The method seemed reasonably good to Song Yuncheon as well. However, one problem remained.

• "So where can we find the dragon’s reverse scale?"

It was the whereabouts of the reverse scale. Dragons themselves were not common, so where and how could one obtain a reverse scale? Song Yuncheon also had experiences close to Ascending Dragons, but he had never thought of snatching a reverse scale from a dragon.

• "…I don't know that either."

Myriad Origins Old Ancestor scratched the back of his head, embarrassed by his inability to provide proper help. Thus, the meeting between Song Yuncheon and Myriad Origins Old Ancestor ended without any significant results.
