Joo Mo (주모), the Emperor of the Ming Empire , the emperor (황제 — 皇帝) is also referred to as the Son of Heaven (천자 — 天子). Literally translated, this means a descendant of Heaven and one who rules the world on behalf of Heaven. Naturally, they were not of noble blood from the very beginning.
Just a few hundred years ago, their ancestors were commoners with the common surname Joo (주 — 周). Moreover, they were not emperors at the pinnacle of humanity but rather lived a life where they earned a day's living under the scorching sun, day in and day out.
However, as time passed, the emperor truly came to believe that he was a special and noble being. Whatever words came from his mouth were fulfilled. Even those who served the emperor with loyalty and bowed their heads at his side fell into the same delusion. They believed that the emperor, though not Everlasting Immortal (불로불사/不老不死), was an Omniscient & Omnipotent (전지전능/全知全能) great being. But when peace was shattered and a sharp dagger began to reach their throats, all these delusions were shattered to pieces.[1]
